Reading Youth Spotlight: An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe

Reading has always been a mecca for families and is known for a wide variety of active youth sports and performing arts organizations.  One of the local shining stars is the award winning Reading Memorial High School Drama Club.   Every November - you can mark your calendar for professional quaity musicals of all sorts from Disney favorties to the edgier Urinetown.   Particpants can learn all aspects of theater and be part of the cast or technical crew for a modest activity fee.  Students are required to assist with set building and set breakdown and the community effort clearly shows in the results.  All this teamwork promotes terrific comradery among the students and an amazing sense of accomplishment durng performances whih are entirely stdent run. RMHS Drama can also be counted on for special effects from flying equipement to fog.  

For the final performance of the 2015-2016 year - do mark your calendar for May 13,14,and 15 for the ensemble production of an Evening with Edgar Allen Poe.   Like last year's Sleep Hollow - classic thrillers like The Tell Tale Heart are sure to delight the young and old and no trip to Boston requred!
